    Talking with Bluetooth headphones issue


    I recently got some new Bluetooth Marshall headphones. It also came with a cable (without a little box where you can talk into) that allows me to plug it in directly into my controller.

    First I tried connecting my Bluetooth headphones to my Xbox using the Xbox app on my phone. It worked, I can hear game sounds and party members talking, except I cant talk. Using Bluetooth then does not work.

    Secondly I tried plugging in my headphones directly into the controller, but once again I can hear everything but no one can hear me.

    My hypothesis is that since I am using a cable to connect my headphones, it looks for a mic on the cable, does not find one and then just stops there, even though there is a Bluetooth mic integrated into my headphones. I feel pretty confident about my hypothesis because my brother has the exact same headphones as me, but his cable has that little box that allows you to speak into it, and he has no problems.

    Connecting a Bluetooth headphone to a XBOX should be simple and allow you to use your microphone.

    If anyone is aware of any other workaround so that people can hear me, please let me know.

    Xbox One - Headphone Mic Not Working

    your bluetooth headset with mic is designed for audio and talking via bluetooth, the cable that you can plug into your headset and then to the controller only enables audio not mic. lots of bluetooth headsets and headphones are the same, the option to plug in a cable is for audio only.

    Xbox Elite Controller 2 Disconnect, and cannot reply to relating issues

    It seems that have no other Bluetooth devices really helps with this controller (1.5hr without dissconnection), which mean no Bluetooth Headphones, no Bluetooth mouses, ... Cool

    maybe if your tv has Bluetooth, you can use headphones using the bluetooth, that's what i use
