Talk in skype call, and talk in party chat at the same time

Hey i just wanted to know if i could talk to people in a skype call using the skype app on Xbox One and also talk to people in party chat because i have friends that aren't on Xbox and are on and i would like to talk to both. I did it last night but i don't
know if it was a glitch or not.

Snap feature.

Xbox One doesn't do video calls in snap mode. You can Skype voice call someone and talk to them while you game. I do that every time my friend and I play as party chat never works. Just make sure you are not in a party. Then Skype voice call them. After
they answer, play your game and Skype will continue running, no need to even snap it.

skype x1 <> pc chat capabilities

Can PC/Mobile Skype users talk to xbox one skype users?

I'm not getting my x1 until the new year but a few friends are. I'd still like to talk to them and usually have my pc or mobile on and skype runs natively on windows 8 anyway.

Can I jump into their party chat sessions like a conference call, or would they need to start up skype seperately and invite people in that way?

I would love to be able to play my PC games and talk to people on PC and Xbox at the same time. Even better if I could talk to them as I'm shopping or at work via mobile.

Also, how does text chat work, as having a skype (text based) chat module which lets people on both pc and xbox text chat would be cool as over 8 people talking is very confusing where as text chat of more than 8 is alot better.

Hope someone can help, although just over 2 weeks until we find out anyway.

Were you able to test it again to see if you can replicate it?

That is not specifically called out as not functioning but we would imagine that generally it would not work as the console may be confused by the two chat services.

We tested it just now and were not able to get it to work so we would not expect it to work at all times if you are able to get it working.

Think I found out the problem here. Me and my girlfriend were chatting on Skype when another friend who was in the same game as us text me on my phone telling me everyone could hear us talking. It's not Microsoft is spying they messed up the chat channels
and you broadcast on both game/party and skype at the same time !

Mista, appreciate the help. I switch between (trying) talking to a friend in an XBLive party, and Skype test calls to see if things are working. Skype test calls come back mute.

It's a Skype app, you would use it the same way you use Skype on any other device. Go to the app, add contacts you want to talk to and then call them.
