Systems within games which reward fair play?

Was wondering what systems there were out there for rewarding players who engage in fair play over more nefarious actions.

Obviously I don't mean cheating, but things like camping etc which in many games can be the easiest way to win.

Are there any such systems already out there? Do people have any thoughts as to how you might encourage such behaviour via a system: commendations?

Or do you think it's something which isn't needed and people should be able to make use of any advantage within a game to secure a win.

Actually playing lompa and fair is what you should always do, what you should have is penalty with bad players, this keeps more order than benefits, but speaking of that, in Overwatch you can name the player who most highlighted, and to vote according
to his performance, already in Rb6 there are penalties that cause his temporary ban from matches.

I like Overwatch's endorsement system. It doesn't completely work as there are still toxic people all the time, but it at least rewards people for good behaviour.

This could be a bit hard to achieve, although it would be nice.

Just seems like a lot of gamer's won't just give out free commendations though, although Overwatch does have a system like it.

The only game i can think of that rewards you for being good is gta, a game where you are supposed to be bad. I do wish there were rewards if someone gives you a thumbs up in dead by daylight.
