System update failure, then unable to register for repair

If you are unable to perform an offline system update, then this error would indicate some kind of hardware failure (possibly a dead hard drive or some other component).

The only solution at that point is to
send your Xbox in for repair.

Thank you for that response, In regards to updating the console you would need to go with the OSU1 file in order to perform this

offline system update. If you are unable to actually update the console with this process then you would need to setup a repair for your Xbox One console. You can always go through the

Device Repair website to register and setup the repair. We are unable to provide any information regarding any 3rd party repairs.

Actually if it was a hardware failure the system has ways to register that. it would have registered an E100 or a E205 error. More than likely something happened with the initial update and it didn't install correctly.

If you weren't getting it swapped out already I'd suggest doing the offline update option and see if you can get it to install manually,

support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool.

IMO, an update from last Fall would not cause a hardware failure this long afterwords. A system repair is needed before it gets worse (again IMO). I hope to see an update for this thread with a positive outcome.
