    System Update broke Xbox One X


    My console gets the early updates, and the last one ran a couple of days ago. Since then I have had no video from the device. I ran through the troubleshooting steps online and on the phone with support. At the end of the call support said they have no
    other options for me and are not being allowed to assist me further. I find this very fishy given the new launch. Of course trying to reach anyone by phone is next to impossible, so I am now here. Anyone have any thoughts?

    The xbox one is the one that completely turns off. The xbox one x wont make it past the screen that allows you to do an offline update. So it's broke.

    This is NOT a Xbox One X issue I'm on the fat Xbox One and I have the same issue for 2 months. Maybe a system update broke this, or it's a unknown Xbox live issue..

    Also removing the account and set it back seems to temporality fix the issue.

    We need a true investigation over this, Xbox support can't help with this issue. They already make me hard reset 2 time my system...

    And I'm also from France.

    It’s ridiculous. Microsoft broke it with their update and they’re failing to acknowledge that their update is the root of the problem.

    Are you on the One X also? Everyone I’ve seen so far with this issue is playing on the One X and has just updated to the latest XBox patch. I haven’t seen anyone have the issue on a One S yet.

    Hi Angela,

    The last significant software update for Xbox 360 consoles was in November 2019 with the OS version 2.0.17559.0, so you appear to be on the most recent one. Refer to:

    Xbox 360 operating system versions and system updates | Xbox Support

    If anything, you can always reinstall the latest system update in Settings > System > Storage and enter the following button sequence from your controller:

    X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.

    Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will then restart automatically and download the updates again.
