    i have a automatically renewd live gold account yet when i try to play the system does not recognize i have gold status.

    it even shows in my account i have live gold.

    how can i get things running?

    System is not recognizing my gold membership.

    I recently purchased the gold membership and I'm trying to add a second controller to my system. I get a message that says "I must have a gold membership to use multiple controllers".

    what game are you trying to play that gives that kind of error? Sounds like your playing a game that only supports one player with a gold membership at a time.

    Let's have you remove your profile from the console,

    power cycle the console    , and then sign back in and try once more to play online or start a party.
