Sys 32 folder open when i try to play a game installed to my secondary drive

I installed sniper elite 5 to my n.vme (which is my secondary drive). The game pass install manager asked to me create a folder on that drive where it would install to which i did and called it "XBOX". When the game was fully installed, i pressed play and it opened up the sys32 folder on my main drive and the game wouldn't start. Anyone know why it's doing this and how to fix?

I've tried it running both Windows 10 and 11. Same problem both times.

I've reformatted the n.vme in multiple ways and still the same issue is present.

Actually, this is an issue reported for some players about this specific game only

May I know if the game is installed on the C: partition? Or are you installing the game on a different one? (D: E: for example)

Are you trying to install your game using an external drive? Kindly also open File Explorer, followed by the C drive where Windows is installed. Click on the Windows folder, then open the Software Distribution folder. Click the DataStore folder to open it.

Delete everything in the DataStore folder by selecting the contents, right-clicking and choosing Delete then try installing your games again.

Thank you for replying, but I need help with the Bannerlord folder itself. No matter what I do it will not open or locate the folder it installed to. When I try to open it from the Game settings on Game Pass, I click it and it does nothing.

I've tried opening it from taskmanager, Treesize, run, everything. It acts like it does not exist. I can see it is installed on the C: drive, but it's folder is completely hidden. No other game that I have installed has ever done this.

I would cancel the install and try again. I had issues installing the game this morning. The interest in this game is huge and when trying it out I had some server issues.

As for the folder path you can put the game update - which is the main part of the install - you can put it on to a secondary drive, you don't have to use C:\ I didn't. The standard edition is around 91GB.

The folder created for Xbox Games and Windows Apps is specific to your Windows installation. So if you reinstall Windows, I'm afraid you need to delete the folders from the secondary drive, or format the drive entirely.
