Sypro Game Data Not Saving

Hi,

I was having a great time playing the first Spyro game in the trilogy on my brand new Xbox when disaster struck - my game data did not save. I was about 44% through the game, switched the console off and went to play the next evening and alas, i was only
at 8%.

I followed the suggestions in the forum to clear the cache, do a hard re-set, re-installation, get a live gold account to try and retrieve data from the cloud (no luck) and remove account and re-add it.

I then played the game again, got to 66%, turned the console off, came back to the game and still had 66% - great. Next evening, go to play from where i left off and the game says i've only done 20%. Yet i still have my achievement points from when i was
at 66%.

I have spent hours re-searching this issue and i can see many other users have had the same issue. I have contacted Activision and their response is:

'Thanks for the information! The issue that you present has been identified, as an issue from the side of Microsoft’s regarding it’s storage functionality and it’s not only affecting this title. Please
contact them in order to inquiry about it'.

So Microsoft, i now turn to you. Given that you have sold a game that we cannot play properly, are you offering up a refund?

it's the only game I've seen reports for these issues.

You might also want to check the following Activision forum thread about the same issue, in case you haven't got it yet.

Activision does seem to lay the ball at Microsoft side, but there are quite a few people that are not believing it.

I'm not saying who you should believe and who is right or wrong, but it might be useful to check that thread for any progress too:

I know this is not a solution in any way, but it could contain useful information on that link.

Have you tried to reset your modem or wifi router sometimes that helps

No, redownloading the games will not affect his save data, the save data is saved to the cloud, and is not deleted.

I’m sorry to hear that.

This sounds like there is corruption either in the game data or in the save file.

Do you have a save data file that is older then your current save data?

You could revert to the other save data to try to minimize loss, however if the save data is corrupted you will unfortunately lose all the save data and your progress.

A way to test it would be to back up your save data somewhere inaccessible by the game and then try to launch the game with a brand new save.

If the game works then you know it is corruption in your save data.
