Syncing Xbox controller trashed after update

Firstly, have you tried resetting your controller? To do this, press and hold the small button on the back of the controller for about 5 seconds until the Xbox button starts flashing. Then, try syncing your controller again by holding down the sync button on the controller and the sync button on your Xbox or PC until they connect.

2. See the bottom left part of the page and make sure that the page has the correct region that you are in (ex: United States - English for USA)
   
3. If not, click on it then select the correct region that you are in.

5. Click Contact us
   
6. Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.
   
7. On the page, see the provided support articles that may help you with your concern. Click See contact options if further assistance is needed.
   
8. On the next page, select either Chat online or Request a call option then follow or enter the needed details.

Double-clicking the sync button on the Xbox One controller right after turning it on just delays the Xbox turning on and it eventually syncs with the controller again. Apparently, the feature was implemented for the Xbox Series controller since you can go straight into sync without turning on the controller or the Xbox just by holding down the sync button https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/xnwdqf/til_you_can_put_the_controller_into_sync_mode/

I just updated my Xbox One controller and it's still the same thing. So hopefully it can be implemented as an update if nothing physical in the Xbox One controller prevents it from being possible. I hope someone in the Dev team can see this.

I'm having this same issue after updating to the last dashboard, my controllers cant sync anymore with the sync button on the console but they work in other consoles with the same dashboard, I believe there's something wrong with the last update... I've
already tried every kind of solution, I can even tell that the sync buttons are working fine but they cant sync any controller, this problem started after the update reboot from firmware 15574...

Xbox Support on Twitter helped me on this one.

I had to do a complete power down which is holding the power button on the the system for 5 seconds till it shuts off. Then using the button on the system to power it back on. Both wheel and controller work perfect now.
