  1. syncing Dragon Quest XI on console corrupts the cloud save file and makes it unusable on PC

Is anyone else having issues syncing DQXI between console and PC? The game was running fine until I wanted to try the game on my Xbox Series X (I wanted to see how it ran compared to my PC). After I played on my Xbox a bit, I tried syncing back to my PC to resume my save, but I couldn't. I kept getting "an unknown occurred" on startup. The game is playable but is unable to save/load/create save files. The game works fine, if I play offline minus not being able to use my cloud save. After many uninstalls/reinstalls and resetting my pc, I have determined that syncing DQXI on console corrupts the cloud save on PC but still works on console and xcloud.

The demo for DQXI has the same issue so I have been doing a lot of testing there (since I don't want to lose my 50 hour save file in the full game). If the cloud save is deleted from everywhere and a fresh save is started on PC, the PC version runs perfectly until I sync to my Xbox Series X. If I delete the cloud save from everywhere and start a fresh save on console, the PC save file is broken from the start. Is anyone else able to replicate this? The full game is not required, I have been able to replicate it using only the demo. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am part of the Xbox Update Preview on my Xbox Series X, in case that is somehow messing up the cloud save.

That one game you want on Xbox

Dragon Quest XI, I love the Dragon Quest games and this entry looks really good.

At least this one is available on PC too, so I'll get it there even if my pc is not on par with my xbox for gaming

Is My Xbox Series S Repairable?

The OP isn't trying to sync to the cloud as they have already done that. their question is whether the Cloud Save can become corrupted and so corrupts the console when the save syncs to it

PC Game Pass - Snowrunner - Buying a DLC (Year 1 pass) make me lose my profile and saves

Hello JonasGarbuio, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

In some cases, game save files are stored in a specific location on your PC. Check if SnowRunner has a folder of saved files in a specific directory. You can search online for the default location of SnowRunner save files or check the game's documentation for more information. If you find the save files, you can try restoring them to their original location and see if that restores your progress.

Check cloud sync If you're using Xbox Game Pass on PC, your saves may sync to the cloud. Check the sync settings in the Xbox app on your PC to make sure cloud sync is enabled. If so, try forcing a sync and see if your save files are restored.

    Best regards.

PC Game Pass - Snowrunner - Buying a DLC (Year 1 pass) make me lose my profile and saves

Open the Xbox app on your PC.

Click your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select "Settings."

In the "General" section, check if the "Sync files saved to the cloud" option is enabled. If it is not, be sure to activate it.

Next, go to the "My Games" tab in the Xbox app and select the game for which you want to check cloud sync.

On the game page, look for the "Manage" or "Options" option and select "See more options."

A list of options related to the game will appear. Look for an option that says "Sync files saved to the cloud" or something similar. Make sure it is enabled.

Once you've verified and enabled cloud sync, you can try to force a sync by following these steps:

Open the Xbox app on your PC.

Click your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select "Settings."

In the "General" section, scroll down and look for the "Sync now" option. Click on it to force an immediate sync.

This should initiate a sync of your cloud-saved files to your PC. If there are files saved in the cloud, they will be downloaded and synced with your game.
