Switching to a new Xbox

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are inquiring about using physical copies and save data on the next-gen console.

The
Xbox Series S is an all-digital gaming console for disc-free gaming. Disc-based games are not compatible with Xbox Series S. Due to this, you will indeed have to re-purchase any physical games you would like to continue playing in digital format.

In addition to this, all save data is automatically stored on the
Cloud storage, so you simply need to sign into the account that you last played on, on your new console to pick up where you left off.

quick question , have you bought a new xbox recently, as i and many others swear that they had it switched off, i bought a new xbox recently and suspect that auto renewal auto switches back on,?? looking for a trend

all my switch as been use already so i cant have 1 switch to put it on my new xbox ?

are switches assigned to your account or xbox? when i log in on the new system, won't that count as a switch since it will be trying to set it as my home xbox? then, i remove the old one from my account. Now, when I try to go on the xbox I am sharing
with, do I need to set that as the home xbox to my new console? Will any of this count as a switch?

Never changed it before. It's a new xbox, new account. I have 5 switches left.
