    So I recently accidentally purchased the Java Edition of Minecraft when intentionally attempting to purchase the Windows 10 Edition. I have purchases the Windows 10 Edition but when I open up the Minecraft Launcher, it pulls it up as the Java Edition still. I am wanting to make the switch after I have purchased both and am willing to get a refund on the Java Edition as I have only purchased it one day ago and still qualify for a refund. If anyone knows how to help me please feel free to respond.

    Minecraft Xbox 360 edition

    Java Edition you won't be able to purchase from Xbox. You will need to purchase it from Minecraft .net

    If you mean the Bedrock Edition that is crossplay enabled between Windows 10, Xbox One, mobile and Nintendo Switch you will need to purchase the game for each platform.

    Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Xbox One is available on Gamepass.

    There is 2 versions of the game available for PC. Bedrock edition that is called Windows 10 and Java edition.

    Windows 10 is crossplay enabled with Xbox One, mobile and Nintendo Switch.

    Java is PC only.

    Minecraft is available for Xbox One console from Gamepass, have not been added to the PC library yet hopefully it will be added in the future.

    I'd forgot to mention that I had bought Minecraft Java on a different account. But after losing that account I had made a new account. When I switched over, I was given Minecraft bedrock (Minecraft windows 10 edition) not Minecraft Java.

    java edition is sperate to bedrock edition, you would need the bedrock version for windows 10 from the windows store.
