Switching emails ONLY for an xbox account without changing anything else?

You can change your Xbox account's login email without losing games, achievements, or subscriptions, but as you mentioned, there's an important caveat: if your dad's email is a Microsoft address (like @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, or @live.com), you shouldn't delete it, as doing so permanently deletes that email and it can no longer be used, not even to send or receive messages.

It's recommended that you add your email as an alias on the account, make it primary, and simply leave your dad's email there without using it to log in. That way, you can use your own email, and he won't lose access to his inbox or other Microsoft services.

You can switch email addresses between the accounts only if they are not Hotmail, Outlook or Live emails. You can NOT switch gamertags between Microsoft accounts in any way.

First of all I do want to apologize that this has been such a hassle. I have a good idea of all the process you have done so far in regards to this. After reading the information you provided my understanding is the following:

• Your Xbox Account is associated to your brothers email.
  
• You wish to associate your email with the Xbox Account.
  

Also, you mentioned that
Live Support mentioned that to remove the email his must be deleted so, I'm assuming it's a Microsoft email?
If so, Please note that if you wish to change your
email and If the primary email is any Microsoft domain such as
live, Hotmail, outlookyou
will lose the emailonce it has been changed.


Meaning once you change the email and if you used the email for work, personal or anything else, you
won't be able to use it any longer.

If you're still looking into the option of signing on the Xbox with a different email alias to avoid the security troubles you've had then in that case the only option
available apart from changing the email address on the account, would be to create a new account.
As there is no way of being able to switch up the emails on the account without the current primary email being deleted.

If I'm not mistaken, you can change the email associated with a Gamertag without losing anything.

that’s genuine bs. I have spent over 1,000$ on the account and it’s not recoverable EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL INFORMATION?? If you have to original information and the email was changed you should be able to fix it. Fix your account security. They logged on to my account AND LITERALLY CHANGED THE EMAIL WITHOUT NEEDING A VERIFICATION CODE OR ANYTHING ELSE. I WASNT EVEN NOTIFIED.
