Switching back to wireless after using Ethernet cable

Have you tried to reset your console?

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

what i did was change from ethernet connection to wireless connection. luckly i have a xbox slim so i simply just had to unplug the ethernet cable. then after the update i switched back to ethernet. update works now for some reason.

Hi I spoke to Microsoft and got mine working try this.

Go to settings then disc & blu ray then clear persistent storage after youve done that unplug your Ethernet cable from Xbox or if your wireless turn of router next old down power off button on Xbox until it switches off then re connect Ethernet cable or
if wireless switch on router then when back on switch Xbox back on then play quick online match and check recent players.

This worked for me let me know if it works for you.

I moved my Xbox into another room which has a Hdmi switch as the amp I use is pre Hdmi. I was having a problem with love film after moving it to this room. The other difference in this room is that I used wireless initially. No videos played from Amazon,
put my cat6 cable back in and love film worked straight off.

If you're wireless, try an Ethernet cable to rule out poor wireless bandwidth. The only problem I'm having is that my xbox won't play through the Hdmi in so sky doesn't work.
