Switching a redeem code to a different region

Money cards are region locked. You can switch your region in settings to the US and redeem the code that way.

If you have an Xbox 360 try redeeming it on there.

Or try switching regions and enter the code.

My friend send me a gift card but i can't redeem it.

You cant. Your friend will have to request a refund for the code and purchase a code for you that is meant for your region.

Nope. If he gifted from Xbox, the codes will only work for the region they are bought in. He could try contacting support to see about getting a refund. Otherwise, he'd have to contact the retailer he bought it from. There is no way round region locking.
