    Switched on xbox today and no image displayed...


    Hey there,

    Hope someone can save my lockdown! Today I switched on my xbox but was greeted by a frozen screen of fuzzy colourful static. I have checked HDMI cables and ports, tried a hard reset, and following the troubleshooters guide, restarted the xbox with a lower
    resolution This did have an effect of changing the static to a lower quality fuzz.

    Being technically fairly inept and with xbox customer service unavailable, feels like a rock and a hard place. Anyone got any suggestions?

    hi, it does sound like the console itself has a hardware fault with what you have tried with different cables and ports, have you tried a different tv if possible? and also removed the power for 15 seconds and plugged back in and try again.

    When you reset the display, does the working TV see the console as providing a 640x480 or 480p image?



    You could try the AV cable that came with the console on the non-working TV. Maybe switching to that, resetting the display, then moving back to HDMI may "kick" it into working.



    Does the AWA TV have HDCP support?

    Hello Nykuro, where you're trying to update the image, they've actually changed some image type and format guidelines to Gamerpic, if you're trying to switch across Xbox or the Xbox website, would suggest you try the Xbox App Companion.

    If 5/12/2020 is the date it shows you than you should be getting it today May 12th, 2020 no later than midnight. It doesn't display the exact hour but the way it works is it goes off of the time that you used your last switch on. So say when you used your
    switch at 5:00PM last time you would get it at 5:00PM today.

    Note: you get 1 switch every 5 months and can accumulate a maximum of 5 switches.
