  1. Switch child from one family group to another

I have accidentally created two different XBox accounts and I would like to move a child from one account to the other. I have tried to follow

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-account/0cffd82c-ba0b-4ba7-a4cc-43309f34d43d

When I go to https://account.microsoft.com/family/home where the child account is and click on the three dots > "Remove from family group" and click "Remove" on the "Are you sure" prompt, then it says "You can't remove child from the family group" even though I am logged in as the family organizer.

I have also tried to log into my desired family account and sent an invite to the child account. The child shows as "Pending member". I click on "Accept now" and when the "Accept the invitation now" dialog opens, I click "Accept now", provide the email & password of the child and accept the invitation but even that doesn't work.

    :)

Switch child from one family group to another

Hi Adrian, my name is Rodrigo. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

I am sorry to hear that.

You need to remove consent first.

    Please, sign in here:

    https://account.microsoft.com/,

On your child's name > click on the three dots on its upper right > Manage Consent.

On the next page, remove consent.

After that, you can remove the child member.

Still have a Xbox Child account - I changed it years ago?

    Hi

If your account was before a Child account as a part of a Family Group, You'll have to add yourself again into a Family as a Child account. You must use another account as Parent, then after you add your account as Child, you make the privacy changes in
your account through the Parent account. Afterwards; you can remove your account from the Family.

If you don't have another account to make it as Parent, you must create a new one.

The Parent account is Organizer , the Child account is a
    Member

Game progress from parent account to child account

You should always have own account for everyone. Unfortunately progress/saves cannot be transferred from one account to another.

Regarding a question that can you make an adult account part of your family group as a child? Yes you can. You just need to add the email address as a child to your family and from that account accept that invite.
