Suspended for saying [mod removed]

So I was playing destiny 2 and im tired and not really thinking and this guy keeps teabaging me and im getting increasingly frustrated about that so I messaged im "toxic" and he "lul" so I called him a [mod removed] and he said its 2020 so I told im to stop
teabaging me, and he called me toxic so I asked him to explain and he said "you exist" and he goes on with breathing carbon dioxide. So he then calls me a "filthy casual" so I went back and said [mod removed] because im not thinking strait due to me being
tired and he goes on to call me toxic again. I tried to be the better person and have us forget about and that he's instigating the situation and he says he's doing no such thing and I said just stop he says it's toxic that were throwing slags at each other
and that's toxic and for me to enjoy.

Should i have been suspended for me trying to put this behind me and get on with my day and for me being the better man.

I'm just saying why would I get suspended when I tried to be a better man and let the situation go for me saying something that I stupidly said as a 14 year old like bro my mind is like completely gone at this point to where im thinking about stuff not
related to what I'm doing. I also want to be able to play with my friends and family and talk to them and now I have to wait for the suspension to be lifted.

2 wrongs don't make a right. If you have issues with a certain player just block them and carry on playing. It really is that simple.

I was reported for calling a dude the same thing he called me and i was reported and suspended and he wasnt. I was irritated after that.
