Surrendering Digital copy of gears 4 in exchange for physical copy

It would be a very nice feature to allow the option to trade in an unused prepaid code for gears 4 or any xbox one game for its physical counterpart. A great number of people enjoy collecting physical copies such as myself, but I have ordered the Gears 4
xbox one S bundle and there is no option for a physical disc. I would truly appreciate some way to be able to trade in my prepaid/digital code of gears 4 for a physical copy of the game.

I believe this is only available for physical disc copies. The official Microsoft Store promotion has you bring in the disc copy of upgrade
it. Clearly you can't bring a digital copy for exchange so by process of elimination this would imply physical copies only. All other stores Best Buy, Amazon, etc. either have you bringing in the physical copy or mailing the physical copy. If anyone has the
info on a digital upgrade I would appreciate the details. Thanks in advance,

 

Halo 5 Console code exchange???

I spoke to two different agents from Microsoft today and both of them told me the LE halo 5 console digital copy does NOT exchange for a physical copy. Wished I talked to the same agent you did.

 

You would have to discuss this with the retailer you are buying the console on.

Additional benefits to the digital code are no requirement to have a disc in the console and I also suspect this code will allow you to download the game on a Windows 10 PC as well.
