Really sorry to hear you're having issues with the purchases through your games app.

To my understanding, when you purchase a game using the Games App on Windows 8, it ties the purchase to your account so that when you sign in you will have access to it but other accounts on the same computer will not. I believe for giving your kids access
to games you would need to log into the store with their profile, purchase the title, then log them out of the store. Once they are logged in on Windows itself, they should have access to that game even without being signed in for the store.

In regards to the extras, It may be that the content you are trying to download is unrated which would make them unpurchasable for child accounts even if they have authorization.

I would highly recommend getting in touch with our Windows Support team for further clarification. They
may have some more specialized support for this particular issue.

you need to purchase via the game or epic store, not the windows store, now you have purchased via the windows store you need to load your account on an xbox to see it.

anything to do with epic on pc is via epic and not the windows store.

Currently, you can only use the Microsoft Points to purchase games, movies, and t.v shows on Xbox.com / Xbox 360 console / Games for Windows LIVE. Later this year you'll be able to use those Microsoft Points (which will be converted to your local currency)
on Windows 8 Store and the Windows Phone Store. This is not currently possible.

the java version is seperate from the windows store, java version supports modding, the bedrock version that is on windows store/mobile/consoles needs to be purchased for each platform that you use it on.
