Sunset Overdrive windows Ms

So, sunset overdrive was released to the Microsoft store on windows Pc's

yet they expect people to buy the game a second time

even when there policy was clear that games you own carry over to Pc when they release

I have the Day One deluxe edition, and will not stand to pay 30 for a game I already own the license to use on my Microsoft account

considering that paying for it would be a risk when you look at the how long the Ark evolved has been in poor standing on the pc ms community

am I wrong to request acess to the game?

I dont believe that Sunset Overdrive was on the Play Anywhere list. I think the program started after the game released actually.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I'm not sure which policy you are referring to but, the only games that carry over between Xbox one and PC are Play Anywhere titles. You can view our complete list of play anywhere titles here :

Microsoft is also expanding on the list as time goes by. You should see titles such as "We Happy Few" and "Ori and the Will of the Wisps" joining the list soon!

As Saeleth noted, Sunset Overdrive was released before Xbox started doing Play Anywhere titles.

If you want titles that are already released on the Xbox and then become available for PC to be classified as a Play Anywhere title, it's best to post that suggestion at Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice
so the right people see it.

 

If that were the case then they would have locked Ark evolved though. while the direction of the play anywhere was designated as a purchase on one platform provides access across your Microsoft account

that said if an individual already purchased the license to a game title

it would be discerning to have to own two copies of the same license on the same Microsoft user account wouldn't it?

 

I don't think the Xbox Play Anywhere program existed when Sunset Overdrive originally launched and at that time the game was console exclusive. Here is a list of Play Anywhere titles:

It would be nice if they opened it up as Play Anywhere retroactively but at this point I’d be happy to get an X patch released.

Sunset Overdrive is now available on Windows 10 and Steam, so here is a few things you should know about!

• This game is not an Xbox Play Anywhere game. Users who purchased the game on Xbox One will need to purchase the Windows 10 version as well if they wish to play on Windows.
• This game is not a part of Game Pass on Windows 10. It will remain in the Xbox One Game Pass library but that access will not extend to the Windows 10 platform for Game Pass subscribers.
• Sunset Overdrive will not have online multiplayer on Windows 10
• Sunset Overdrive will only be available via Game Pass on Xbox One and will not be available through Game Pass on Windows 10.
  
• The Windows 10 version of Sunset Overdrive will not have online multiplayer features.
• There is no subscription required to play on Windows 10.
• As this game is not an Xbox Play Anywhere game, the game saves will not transfer from the Windows 10 platform to the Xbox One platform.

It would not be two copies of the same license for the game you have:

1. A Xbox console license for the game.

2. A PC license for the game.

 

Not every game is a play anywhere title unfortunately, but in the future probably all the exclusive will be.

The complaint for me is that the game is not receiving an enhanced update for One X...
