    Sunset Overdrive "Installation Stopped" error 2 weeks later


    Hi all,

    just under 2 weeks ago I posted a question about an error i have been recieving for about 2 weeks now while trying to install Sunset Overdrive on my XSX. It is the only game I have been having issues with being the game the second I start the install will stop and send an Installation Stopped error. In this time I have installed and updated numerous games without issues and even tried installing SO on other consoles and on other networks with the same error being consistant. I was given a list of things to try last time I posted which unfortunately none of them worked and even contacted xbox support just for them to ignore what I said and send me in circles doing the same things. If anyone knows whats going on that would be great!

    Greetings Christopher,

    Just gave it a shot then and unfortunately no different results. In terms of other troubleshooting I have also tried Factory Resetting my xbox, clearing my local saved games, clearing my cache and trying both wired and wireless connections to no avail.

    Oh my! That's all the troubleshooting there is for the console! Is this the only game with the issue? I would also recommend opening the following ports to improve your connection to the Xbox Live Servers! https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/open-...

    Hi there Myles welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Have you tried the following?

    Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

    Settings.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Settings.

    Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select Clear.

    Allow the console to restart when prompted.

    Please let me know if you have tried other troubleshooting too!
