Suitable profile picture

I want to use a profile pic that is somewhat graphic that's from a movie. It's king shark ripping someone in half from the new suicide squad movie. Would I get banned if I used it?

if you need to ask then yes you may find you get banned, unless your gamerpic is some fluffy unicorn that panders to the mighty woke then i wouldnt risk it.

You might get banned but, it is unlikely that it will be approved!

Note that by uploading custom profile pictures, you are subject to the Xbox Community Standards. Images that violate the standards can result in enforcement action by the Xbox Safety team. So, you can only upload content that is created by you, and not copyrighted by others.

There has been an increased clamp down on Gamerpics now, due to the freedom of them. Some people have been putting not suitable for children profile pictures.

This could be that the picture is not suitable for xbox and or your application needs fo be reset. Hope this helps at all but just try it with a different picture
