Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues the storage of your Xbox Series S. There are several other options can help you to free up space:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

On the Manage storage devices screen, select:

Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they’ll still be saved to the cloud.

Leftover add-ons are items that remain after you’ve uninstalled a game. To remove leftover add-ons or shrinkable games:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select My games & apps > See all > Manage > Free up space.

Choose Leftover add-ons or Shrinkable games, highlight an item from the list, press the Menu button, then select Uninstall.

Thank you for giving all that details. Please note that your internal storage has a reserved space for saved games, console software, and other system functions. You won't be able to see its full capacity and since it's a new gen console, it may differ to your Xbox One console.

To free up space, try to remove leftover add-ons and shrinkable games:
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Select My games & apps > See all > Manage > Free up space.
Choose Leftover add-ons or Shrinkable games, highlight an item from the list, press the Menu button, then select Uninstall.

If you wanted to verify that, you may perform a factory reset to remove all your data. There's an option to keep your games and apps. Your account data and saved games would be synchronized from the cloud once you setup your console.

Sorry to hear about the issue. Make sure that you still have enough storage space on your console. I suggest to free up some space.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Let's also clear your local saved games to remove any corrupted saves that may have caused the issue.

Eject the disc from your console.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.
Select Clear local saved games.
Note: Selecting this option will not delete any games or progress you have saved in the Xbox cloud. It will only clear data you have saved locally.
Select Yes to confirm.
Once your console restarts, try installing the game again.

I also support this request, especially since we have a way to remove all leftover DLC. Maybe instead of putting it in the "store" for the game it should go under the "Manage Game" section. If the DLC is free it should just add the license so you can
just click "Install All" when you go to the manage games section.
