Suggestion for gift digital purchase

This is just a feature I would like to see on the Xbox One.....

We have 2 Xbox ones in our house. Mine and my sons. We do nothing but digital download of games because with home console, we both get a copy of the game and can play at the same time. We will always pay full retail digital download vs purchasing a disk.

With the holiday season upon us, I would like to get my son a game he wants for a gift. Right now I can either just purchase the game and it will show up on his console or buy Xbox $ and he can purchase it himself.

I would like the option to purchase digital games as a gift. Have it show up as present box or something on his games list and if he clicks it, it will tell him he can't have it until December 25th or whatever date I choose (for other occasions such as birthdays).
Then on the given day, once he clicks the app, it will show as the purchased game already downloaded and ready to go.

This should also be used so I can buy gifts for other xbox friends (not just home consoles). This would be so cool.

Haven't received 10 dollar gift code that comes with digital purchase

The $10 gift code is for preordering games through microsoftstore.com. Digital purchases are not eligible for that offer.

Microsoft Rewards Points

You would have to redeem them for an Xbox gift card and then you can use the money from your gift card to purchase digital content.

Keep in mind, in order to use currency from gift cards for 360 content, you do have to make the purchase from a 360 console.

This is a support issue when the son uses Xbox $ to purchase a game and it is not able to be shared on the home consoles.

Xbox 360 games and original Xbox games cannot be gifted, due to the way these games are integrated into the Xbox Store.

I would suggest sending your friend a digital Xbox gift card so he can purchase the game.

Unfortunately there is not way to transfer V-bucks from one account to another. Also something to note is that virtual currency like V-Bucks is content that cannot be bought and sent as a gift. That information can be found here:

Only digital content in the Microsoft Store that has an option "Buy as Gift" is able to be sent as a gift to someone else and the recipient has to be in the same region the content was purchased from.

The only thing I can suggest is to request a refund and then buy a gift card for the other person so they can buy the VBucks with the gift card. Here is a link going over the refund process:
