Suggestion for a new dashboard or app for the 360 before store closure

The only thing that will happen starting on July 29, 2024, is that you won't be able to make any purchases from the Xbox 360 Store. However, you will be able to play the games you have purchased up to that point whenever you want. The closure of the Xbox 360 store doesn't mean you won't be able to access your purchased games.

Xbox announced the closure of the Xbox 360 store well in advance, giving users the opportunity to buy any Xbox 360 games they're interested in before the shutdown, including the indie games you mentioned.

It's also important to note that you can continue playing games in disc format if you have them, as the closure only applies to the digital Xbox 360 store.

Don't worry, if you purchase a backward compatible Xbox 360 game from the Xbox One/Series store, you'll still be able to download and play it on Xbox 360 and Xbox One/Series consoles even after the Xbox 360 Store closure. The closure of the Xbox 360 Store will only affect the ability to purchase new games and items from the Xbox 360 Marketplace, but it won't affect the way players play and download games they already own.

With recent news regarding Gamestop store closures, apparently it's NOT how business works.

There is no official news on a closure of 360 servers. Why would you feel that way?

I sincerely hope that microsoft fixes this. I, along with many other people on trueachievements, bought windows phone 8 games before the store shutdown. It would be sad to see that our purchases end up being a waste of money. And the warning for December
was about the windows 8 store closure, not an achievement server closure.
