Suddenly unable to install any games from the Xbox app & Microsoft Store

Based on the description, you are having issue installing games through the Xbox app. Let us see and check on what we can do to help resolve your problem in a timely manner. If the issue gets more complicated than what we have expected, we will help you or point you to the right direction if needed.

To help us isolate the issue further, we will be asking few questions.

1. When you mentioned "I have also tried installing from a USB drive" did you perform clean installation of your Windows?

2. What specific games are you trying to install? Is it included in your Xbox Game Pass subscription?

3. Do you have third-party antivirus installed in your device?

4. What specific commands that were being perform with your previous support?

5. Are you getting an error message or error code while trying to install games through the Xbox app?

It is possible that the Xbox app is corrupted or there are underlying factors that is causing the issue. We will provide some troubleshooting steps that would help us resolve corrupted application. If the troubleshooting steps provided were already perform with your previous support, you may skip those steps.

Since it is prompting to what drive would you like to install the game or apps when installing the game, we will set the available drive for your PC. Here are the steps below:

• First, open the PC Settings app by pressing the keyboard shortcut Win + I. Go to the "System → Storage" page in the Settings app. On the right page, click on the "Change where new content is saved" link under More Storage Settings section.
  
• Under the "New apps will save to" option, select your target drive from the drop-down menu and click on the "Apply" button.
  
• Go back to the Xbox App and try to select the drive and see if that worked.
  

If the steps provided above does not help resolve the issue, follow the next steps:

1. Perform a full system scan. This will scan and recover corrupted system files.

• In the Windows search bar, search for Command Prompt and Run as administrator.
  
• Copy the command one line at a time below it and paste it at the command prompt:

  DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

  [/tr][tr][td]

  DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

  [/td][/tr][tr][td]

  DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

2. Perform a Clean Boot. This will start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

• In the Search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the list of results.
  
• On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all. Select Apply.

Hello, I hope you're doing well despite this technical difficulty!

Do you happen to have any type of antivirus running? I've seen some antivirus software cause this type of problem. If you do have an antivirus software running try disabling it before you open up the Microsoft Store to start installing apps!

check and make sure your system and store is updated with the newest updates. let us know if you are still having problems.

May I know if you tried installing the Xbox app from here and not Microsoft Store?

And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?
