Suddenly I am not able to communicate through a microphone for some reason

Is the microphone you are using the one that comes with the DualSense or a separate microphone?

Have you had this problem before or was it working fine?

So on the xbox app I am able to create party chats but enable to speak or hear anyone. My microphone and speakers work fine on every other app except this one. When I make a party it says "We can't find your microphone". There is no option to choose my playback
and recording device (for some reason it's not a feature in the app). Anyone know a fix?

I understand that you are unable to stream your game via Discrod and on Twitch, there is a lot of feedback from users with the same problem as you, here are some ways you can look at:



Discord:

1. Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network Settings.

Select Advanced Settings.

Select an alternate MAC address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart

Set DNS manually: Try setting DNS manually. Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Manual and enter the following DNS addresses: Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8, Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4.



2. Check your current NAT type.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings.

Under Current Network Status, the NAT Type field shows your current NAT type.

You want the NAT type to be Open.



3. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to turn on the Power Center.

Then unplug the console and wait 3 minutes.

Plug the power back into the Xbox console.

Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it back on.



4. Reset the console:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console. Select the option to keep your games and apps so your game data isn't deleted.

Update the Xbox system:

Make sure your console is connected to the Internet, then press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Update

If an update is available, select Update



Twitch:



1. Check Twitch account connection
Make sure your Twitch account is properly connected to Xbox.

2. Check Xbox privacy and online security settings
Xbox privacy and online security settings may limit streaming capabilities. Make sure there are no settings preventing you from using Twitch.
Open Settings > Privacy & Security.
Check the Online Status and Active Sharing settings to make sure you're not restricting streaming.
In Home & Security, make sure online gaming and activity sharing is allowed.

3. Check that the Xbox and Twitch apps are up-to-date
Outdated software can render streaming useless. Make sure you're using the latest version of the Twitch app and the Xbox system.
Go to Settings > System > Updates and make sure your Xbox system is up to date.
Open the Twitch app and check for updates. If so, update to the latest version.

Hi, thanks for your response.

I am using the Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 30X Chat Communicator Gaming Headset.



I have never tried this setup before using the Xbox App, but feel it should work as every other aspect of my computer can detect and use the headset speaker and microphone. It is only the Xbox App that cannot find the microphone on this headset.

I am trying to use the headset on my computer exactly like it would be used on the Xbox One, through the 3.5mm jack. There is no reason this should not work because my computer finds the microphone just fine.

After investigating further via the audio playback tool in the sound control panel. the problem is my blue Yeti Microphone. using a different microphone the problem completely disappeared.

But I'd really like to use my Blue Yeti Microphone as the quality is simply better. if you would know, Is there why in some game scenarios specifically games that are more demanding why a microphone's quality would drop or suddenly cut out?
