Suddenly blocked on Fortnite (xbox)

Hi

After months of playing Fortnite my son was suddenly blocked from playing Fortnite with the message that it is due to not be allowed to see other peoples content because of the account set up, age related I guess, I have changed the account settings to all
permissions, he is of legal (according to Epic's own rules) age to play but he is still blocked.

Can any one help please?

hi, I’ve been trying to block Fortnite battle royal on my sons Xbox one account, but when I’ve blocked it I go to activity report and it’s no longer blocked.

 

Fail to join party fortnite

My son is playing fortnite and suddenly he is not able to join parties and play with his friends...

They all have xbox one.

So he is not able to play Fortnite because a message that says he's not allowed to see other people's content?

I think that message might be referring to video clips or pictures people can post on Xbox Live, but I haven't heard of it not letting an account play the game, especially if he's been playing on that same account for months.

Were any settings changed recently? And was your son trying to play cross platform with others playing Fortnite on different devices, or just with Xbox players?

Let us know so we can try to figure this out.

Thanks for coming back so quickly.

He and three friends are all on Xbox.

The message that comes up is

"This account for Xbox live does not allow user generated content. Please try again with a different account."

I removed the controls a week or so back being quite content with his sensible attitude to game play and duration etc and he has turned 13 today in case there are embedded birth dates in the account but still no access is available.?

Please try the following:

• Sign into Xbox Live. You must be online and signed in to make changes.
• You’re signed in to the console using an adult account. Children and teens are restricted from
  making changes to their
  own privacy and online safety settings.
• If you receive an error message when you try to change your privacy settings, search for the error using the
  Error Code Lookup Tool.
