    Sudden Update Failures - Alpha / Xbox One X


    I have been a member of the Xbox Insiders Program (Alpha) now for well over five years. I’ve never had any updating issues until the last two updates. The only way I can seem to get out of this failed update loop is to reset my Xbox each time. This is the error code:

    0x80070570 0x00000000 0x00000301

    Trying the update again, rebooting the console, Powering down the console and unplugging everything and then re-plugging everything, etc. does nothing. Nothing has changed in my networking setup and the console is always connected via home Wi-Fi. Nothing has been changed on the Xbox’s network or system settings. It has always just updated fine.

    Does anyone have any insight into what is going on here? I’ve searched on the error code and there are some minimal results but the only thing that truly fixes it is a console reset, but that’s very inconvenient.

    Just not been an issue with my original Xbox one, Xbox one S or Xbox one X. My S is in alpha and X is in alpha SA.

    I believe you can re-enroll but I don't believe is guaranteed to be in Alpha still.
    If I deregister the Xbox X out of the program, will it also deregister the Xbox One?

    Originally the Xbox One was in Skip-A-Head Alpha. I purchased the Xbox One X, selected registration for Alpha Skip-A-Head, and it was automatically enrolled in the Alpha Skip-A-Head program.

    I got the impression it is tied to the user who not the product. Hopefully someone in the program knows for sure.

    I have this problem with Netflix for about 2 weeks on my xbox one x in Alpha skip ahead. Netflix on my xbox one in Alpha works fine at the moment.

    It is still in test at this point in time. It may come out with the fall update, which has no release date yet.
    In other words, as a simple user with xbox one x and compatible tv, I can't be using Dolby Vision until update?

    ps Fall update - before december, correct?

    If you're not in the alpha or alpha skip ahead preview rings in the xbox insider program you will have to wait, yes.
