    Sudden Increase in Standard Xbox One Controller Stick and D-Pad Sensitivity in Dashboard


    Very recently and suddenly, the d-pad and sticks on my standard Xbox One controller became extremely sensitive in the Dashboard. Light touches to either would result in items in the menu being skipped over, and its now difficult to select specific items.
    This occurs in both wireless and wired modes. I have attempted a factory reset of the console, updating my controller's firmware, un-pairing and re-pairing the controller to no avail. I do not have a second controller, so I am unable to test using another
    device.

    I should also note that I am only experiencing this issue in the Dashboard. I have not noticed any changes in apps or games.

    Any recommendations to address this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Try this procedure: right stick, select one of the sensitivity presets.

    Scroll to Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 Controller and select Configure. Select a profile to adjust or create a new one. Select the Edit button and on the Left Stick or D-pad tab

    I hated the D-Pad and battery pack on the Xbox 360 controller, so now that Microsoft have fixed the D-Pad and have the batteries built-in I prefer the Xbox One controller. It took me a while to get used to the analog sticks on
    the Xbox One.

    The best controller you ever used?

    The silver 360 controller with transforming d-pad for FPS and analog controlled games. The d-pad feels slightly better over the standard pad (still not great) and I like the analog sticks and how my thumb falls into the concave on top.

    The Japanese Saturn controller for 2D side-scrolling and fighting games. I like the 3-over-3 button configuration and having an L/R is perfect for MAME/MESS (use it for credit/start).
