    Hello,

    I'm using my XBOX One X as a blu-ray player too and I just bought a couple of movies, 4K HDR edition.

    Since the movies language is English and English is not my native language, I rely on subtitles but I sadly discovered that subtitles are just bright white, they are shown at the max HDR brightness, causing eye strain.

    As a Netflix user, I'm aware about HDR and subtitles issue, you just need to tinker with Netflix options to change subtitles color and transparency.

    Some blu-ray players has options to dim subtitles (Panasonic, in example: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=311315)

    I was unable to find a way to dim blu-ray subtitles in my XBOX blu-ray app and I fear there is not such feature. Did I miss something? There is a way to suggest such feature to Microsoft?

    For now I have to stop buying HDR blu-ray disks, waiting for a solution. I hope I don't have to buy a Panasonic player or something else.

    When I spent a lot of money to buy my XBOX One X, I was counting on not having to spend other money for a Blu-ray player.

    Hello Sagaroth,

    I checked the Ease of access subtitles settings again and, unfortunately, I have to confirm that they are not affecting bluray app subtitles at all. When playing 4K UHD HDR disks ("First Man" Italian edition in this case), subtitles are still shown in full
    bright white even if I set CC in yellow color. By the way, if I play the included legacy blu-ray disk, subtitles are still shown in white color (without causing eye strain, since plain blu-ray disks are not HDR encoded).

    Panasonic FZ950 but I guess every HDR TV set behave the same way: in HDR mode, bright white is blinding, it's used in shots with cars headlights in example.

    This is an interesting problem because it is unusual.

    I'll do some tests on my own to see if I can find other solutions.
