Subnautica on Windows 10 displays error message: Save Data saving failed. Try again?

hi i have the same problem and it dident resolved itself ... nothing i try works ...

If you have attempted the above suggestions with no solutions, then I recommend you contact Subnautica support directly. We skimmed a few of their forums and it looks like this is a bug on Subnautica's end that they seem to be working on. Below is a final suggestion from a user in the Subnautica forums that solved this issue for them.

"Press MENU on Subnautica, select manage game and add ons, go to saved data, and delete from everywhere. This fixes the sync error but you have to start a new game."

Actually, you're incredibly wrong. It's well known that they implemented could saves for Subnautica. I'm having the same issue as OP, and no matter what I do I can't even start a NEW game without the cloud save.,

I suggest uninstalling/reinstalling the game, restarting your internet, confirming that your PC is up to date as well as the game and the Xbox app. If your other Game Pass games are connecting to servers and working fine, then it may be a title issue which Microsoft then can do little about.

As another commentator pointed out, the issue resolved itself for them and others on its own. If the issue persists after quite a few days, then I suggest reaching out to Subnautica support directly.

There is a difference between cloud saves, which you reference, and cross-platform saves, which I reference above. Cloud saves are when your save data is backed up in the cloud and accessible if, say, you switch consoles or log into a different PC. But that does not mean that the console and PC share the same save data. That, is cross-platform saving.

Cloud saves are supported by Subnautica. Cross-platform saving is not. This is confirmed by a Subnautica team member in my above comment.

If either yourself or the OP continue to have trouble with saving your Subnautica data, I recommend that you reach out to their support team for further assistance.

The problem seems to solve by itself. I read that someone who has the same problem could play some day after, and for me it work without problem the day after, and I did nothing.
