stupid update-need help

Before this last update I was able to turn on and off the "automatic" payment for gold and such but have no clue how to do it now. I only go gold when it's on sale for $1 for the kids or something (yes, I'm cheap but I'm a single
parent of 3-kids. Got to be stingy sometimes). I'm just trying to figure out to do that now. It's going to renew itself and charge me $9.99+tax in a week and I can't figure out how to turn it off. I need some help, GAMERS UNITE! lol

myrewards problem

i am having a problem claiming my 2000 credits from myreward when i go to deposit them i get a stupid message saying you need to update your account i even got xbox support to check it and they said its correct so why do i get a stupid message HELP ME

If you go to account.microsoft.com and log into your account you can manage your subscriptions under the Subscription and services tab.

unless the update comes out just as you want to play the game and you only have 30 minutes for a quick game, and it so happens to be a multiplayer game, going offline not an option, updating later not an option, mandatory updates should be done away with.

already done all of that i've cleared my system cache i've diagnosed my connection i've tried removing the hard drive and puttin it back in everything this site says to do i have done and so has my friends and the xbox is still messed up

At least you can download the update.

Most of us have bricked Xbox's, unable to download the update via xbox or computer. Nobody will answer our threads in regards to the problem and there is nobody in support chat, only the virtual agent.

How the heck did you manage to download the update? Your probably the only person who has it.

Maybe you should bin the xbox

on a serious note its most likely someones NAT settings one of you must have a strict or moderate NAT. This is the main cause.
