Stuck!

Heres what I think you should do. Instead of fighting the BLK, and the Taurus Demon, you ignore those, and go Down the Tower. Lure the warrior at the buttom(havel) up a few levels so you can outrun him, and sprint for the door. Go out the door he wont follow.
Proceed through lower Darkroot Garden, and past the Crystal Golems up to upper Darkroot Garden where you make a left, and proceed toward upper undead Burg. Sprint past the Titanite Demon to make it to the Blacksmith where you upgrade youre weapon as much as
you can. You then backtrack through Upper Undead Burg. Pick up the basement key, and make you way Down to the bonfire. Kick Down the ladder, and rejuvinate at the bonfire. You then run the Taurus Demon level Again. Go through the fog. Lure the Demon out. Run
back climb up the ladder. Add the pine resin, and make a two handed plunging attack, and kill the demon in one terrible blow LoL. Alternatively you can go back up the ladder from the bonfire up on the bridge with the dragon sprint past the guards in the opposit
direction of the dragon past the doors all the way to the end where you find Knight Artorias to pick up the White sign soapstone wich will allow you to summon other players before hand for the task at hand. Atleast thats the way I liked to do it HaHa

 

Thanks to al for your advice - but I've decided not to play this anymore...I just don't find it enjoyable. I know it's supposed to be hard - I really get that - but I find myself just grinding to try to level up a few times, but whenever I try to make progress
I get beaten 20 times by the same guys. I got past the Taurus demon, and got as far as some underground chamber (just after a blacksmith I think, then some weird headless thing was slinging lightning bolts at me, which was fine, but then it you get too close
- which you have to, in order to kill it, it sweeps a long trident and knocks you down...again and again and again and again and again. and I find the timing is off, I always find myself starting to swing my axe, or sword and would make contact with the enemy
(whichever one it may be) about a quarter of a second after they hit me. almost every time.

Yeah mate DS is really hard! Its one of those games where you really have to lift youre level,and know the game rather well before you start to feel comfortable.Especially the first runthrough on youre first Soulsgame can be frustrating. But it really doesent
have to be so bad. Once you got the White soap sign you just put Down youre summon-sign. Run the map a couple of times as a phantom untill you know the map a bit better, before you consume a humanity, and run the map for youreself with a couple of phantoms
to assist you. Ofcourse thats if you so priviligatet to be online connectet. If you play offline just by youreself. Then you can talk about the game being a grind.

Anyway im sure youre not the first one to feel like this. I guess its an aquired taste, but you can allways DL it Again if you start to feel like perhaps you dident give it youre all, and maybe you could do better?

 

Hi SOB. yeah - i won't delete it from my HD just in case...but i found myself only playing to level up so i could beat one or more particularly tough enemies so i could get somewhere - not playing for the enjoyment of playing. Still - the good thing is,
having read the reviews i had been thinking of getting DS2...but from what i now know about DS i will save my cash!!

Well the game is deffinately not for everyone. With the invasions, and what not Theres bound to be an element of frustration. Anyway my point was that the grinding for Slv doesent have to be so bad if you can enjoy a bit of co-op, and afterall, isent that
what its all about? PS soullevel isent imo really as important on DS, as upgrading youre equipment, and knowing youre enemys strength, and weaknesses, and memorizing his moveset. With a bit of practise, and a lot of patience you can pretty much take Down any
boss in the game at any slv with the right equipment, and the right strategy.

NB I recommend finishing DS before trying out for DS2 as that will surely make most ppl grind there teeth, and pull there hair out LoL Almost made me cry
