Stuck on gamertag selection screen

I noticed several threads in the past related to getting stuck on the gamertag selection screen. I am trying to create accounts for my children so they can play Minecraft. They both have Microsoft accounts, but when I get to the screen to select a Gamertag for them, choose one of the 4 preselected options, and click Let's Go, nothing happens. Please help.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. Can you please confirm where are you trying to create their accounts? Are you on a browser, console, PC? If possible, please try to use a different connection like data/hotspot and set their gamertag from this link and see if the same issue will persist. social.xbox.com/changegamertag

This seems to be a temporary issue as there are a lot of players posting on the forum regarding this since earlier. If nothing will work, may be best to report it and wait for now. https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/m...

The problem is I can’t even report it directly to Xbox because I get stuck at the gamertag selection screen.

Managed to get past the gamertag recovery / Password screen, now it's stuck on " Signing in " urghh
