Stuck in offline mode

So i was im offline mode recently and when i went to change it back to normal it does not work. If i try through the side menu it says "online status unknown" untill i leave the menu. Then it goes back to offline. If i do it through 'my profile' it says
"that did not work. Sorry, give it another try".

Also my friends don't see any invites and cant send them to me and most of my friends are appearing as 'offline' when they are not.

Hi, have you tried to update the Microsoft account directly on the Web? Try doing this

The service alert was resolved so just restart your console and keep using the service as normally.

Hi LilPuddyTat,

I'm sorry to hear the issue is persisting. I've actually had this happen to myself before, so whatI would recommend trying toremove
and re-add your account. This helped my account to change from the offline mode back to online.

Side Note: It is very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing it from the console.

I did try this but was not sure where to look. the same issue occured when i tried changing to online through the windows app.

There was a service alert affecting social features on Xbox Live.

Please
check the Xbox Live Status page if the alert is still going on in your area, and try again.
