    Stuck in demo version of Minecraft, no idea why.


    I have a Minecraft account. Just tried to log in for the first time in over a month; it told me my account was locked, made me divulge my phone number for a code to unlock it, and then (after making me choose a "gamertag" which makes me think there's been some kind of update) told me I have to buy the game before I can play.

    I already own the game. My teenagers have never seen this before. No idea how to proceed. Anybody know what happened?

    I don't see why you can't. the full version of Minecraft lets you play 2-4 player local co-op. but if you try to play the demo version of Minecraft and it doesn't let you play with more then 1 controller then Minecraft blocks the 2-4
    player local co-op on the demo version.

    I have the same problem. My minecraft is stuck on 1.19.10. I have no idea why because 1.19.11 just released.

    Minecraft launcher saying I don't own Minecraft Java edition even though I have for years.

    Ok. Tried clicking buy, still does not work. Wants to charge me $35. I am stuck in the Demo version of Java until I purchase it. the thing is... I've owned Java since before Microsoft bought out Mojang. Why do I have to purchase again? I've already bought at least 8 copies of Minecraft over the years. Playstation, tablet, bedrock, mobile... then purchased copies for my son including Java a second time for him, I've had realms subscription in the past. NOW the launcher expects me to put even more money into the franchise forcing me to buy a version I already own. I can't launch it, I "migrated" it and it's still stuck on a demo version. Worse still, this happened before! this is Deja Voo. I'm about to uninstall everything and ban my son from ever playing Minecraft again.

    After migrating Mojang account to Microsoft, it is gone

    I am logging into Minecraft Java Edition with the Microsoft account that I migrated my Mojang account to, and instead of being a full/paid version of Minecraft, it is only offering me to play the Minecraft "demo" version.
