Stuck in a family group with only me

I have never created a family group before and i have never been in one, but when i was about to go to the settings of my Xbox account it said I can't because I'm in a family group now (I wasn't before), I check and I really was, but there is only me there, and I can't edit, remove myself or delete it, no settings or options appear. I have no idea why this happened and what to do to fix it.

Edit: I tried creating an alt account to remove me from the group but when i click to remove myself this appears

This could be just an instability for now. Try to wait for a while and try to remove you using that account again later.

Also, if the same thing keeps happening, what you could try to do is to contact Xbox support directly requesting a callback:

No, it is not. I thought I mentioned in the post that I even tried adding it to a family group, tested the settings, and then switched it so that it was the manager of the family group. Neither of those things worked. It is now not part of a family group. In addition, each of the times I attempted to access the settings from the account that was only listed as a member, not as the owner of the family group, I was unable to even get to the page that displays the settings. This leads me to believe that being part of a family group has no bearing on the issue at hand.

I am having the exact same issue. I am an adult, but as I am the only member of the family group I am not allowed to leave it. It prevents me from playing multiplayer Minecraft with my family, and the only way to get out of that is by leaving the family group which I cannot do. Is there a way around this?

Hi bert, thanks for posting your question. I understand how confusing the age limitations can be with family group's sometimes.

Even if you're over 18, to remove age restrictions, you need to have a family group organizer remove your account from the family group.
