    Struggling to Connect to the EA Servers


    Hi Team,

    I please need some guidance.

    I have loaded FIFA 15 but struggling to connect to the EA Servers.

    I've purchased a 1 months subscription to Windows Live Gold to see if that might have been the issue but I'm still struggling to connect.

    I tired look on YouTube to find any help & could only find something about port forwarding. I have no idea how this need to be accomplished & if it would work.

    I currently have a HUAWEI Media Router HG532f.

    Is there anyway of assisting me in getting this resolved I'd be greatly thankful.

    All will Ghostz to help with Nat settings etc, its for all developers to help with latency insensitive issues as-well as servers for EA if EA wishes to drop their servers to allow Xbox to host for them, as it'd get around so many issues people have.

    It'd no longer be peer to peer so struggling to connect to each other, which is a reason why SmartMatch would work so well.

    It would be helpful to know if you are experiencing similar issues with different games (preferably one not hosted by EA). Madden's online matches are hosted by dedicated servers, which means it is probable that the issue is most likely being caused by
    their server and not you or your connection.



    Let me know if you are experiencing lag/connectivity issues with other games.



    Edit: One thing I forgot to add is that EA has a bit of a history struggling with game releases. Their servers seem to hit capacity quickly. Since Madden 13 came out just a couple days ago, it's very likely that EA is still trying to work out all the kinks.
    Out of curiosity, is there a way to enter matchmaking with a regional preference? (e.g., search for games with US East Coast servers).

    Sage: Sometimes when I start the game I get a black screen. Is this what you're getting? If I exit to the home screen and "quit" the game, then try it again, it usually works for me.

    Stormed: You need to connect to the EA servers to play, which are a fickle mistress. Sometimes it's down, other times it struggles. If you can't get through you might try calling EA customer support.

    this is not a problem on your end, it is EA that is the problem. EA forces us to use their servers and EA drops old games from their servers in favour of newer ones that are played more. also sometimes their server is crapping out with so many connections.
    so when you boot the game its connects through live first then connects to EA...and boom!!! disconnect issues (but your still connected to live)
