Strict NAT type

I am living in a dorm that uses a wired connection for my xbox one. When I check my multiplayer connection it tells me that it can't find a teredo IP address. I have seen all of the support pages and I have no access to a router or anything. Can someone
help me?

If it's still strict after you open the proper ports, try resetting your modem and router, then hard reset your console.

Open Port

Just select your router and follow the instructions. Do not download anything from the site, it's not necessary. It's a safe site, but port forwarding manually is very easy.

 

Without access to a router there is probably nothing you can do.

 

Hey Josh, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with getting into multiplayer gaming on the Xbox One. Unfortunately while you're in the dorm you're at the mercy of the IT department. The good news is that in some situations the IT department can, and will,
help to resolve your issue. Without knowing the setup that your dorm has it's really difficult to give you a all-in-one step to get it completely resolved, but generally speaking dorm set ups are pretty restrictive when it comes to ports. The ports you would
wan't to get open on your connection are 3074, and 3544. The port 3544 is the port specifically for Teredo. For further help, and possibly getting help talking to your IT department, you can always get in touch with support

Worth mentioning is that these ports are being used for both inbound and outbound traffic.
