Streaming Xbox to Windows 10, almost kills my internet

So im downloading a game at 55Mbit/s and when i start the Xbox app and start to stream my downloadspeed on the game drops to 1.5Mbit/s

I have awsome internet and one of the best routers out there so why does this app take all my bandwidth ?

The Xbox app on windows 10 allows you to stream your Xbox to your Windows 10 PC to play on a local internet connection (LAN) with it.

It is not possible to play xbox 360 games on an android phone or Windows 7 professional. You can't even play them on Windows 10. You CAN play them via streaming to your xbox one that is playing the xbox 360 game and play on your Windows 10 PC though.

The Xbox Live app on your phone is for messages, videos, possibly parties and redeeming codes. That's all that it can do.

Great Live core service **** the bed and now LAN streaming from my Xbox One to my Windows 10 box won't work because of course it requires internet to even play off line. Have to have the DRM checking after all, Azzhats.

 

Tested and it only limit the Xbox ones download and not my pc

 

Problem solved, everything is working now, even works flawless with my Blue Yeti mic after some tinkering.

Hi, i have the same problem of miztra, still unsolved.

Here follows the scenario:

Fiber to the home connection, 100mbit down and 50 up. Speedtests from any device/platform is always perfect.

Using an Asus RT-N66U router, xbox one connected via cat6 cable straight to the router, which is connected to the ISP's modem/router (working as gateway, the asus is in DMZ and manage all my home network, cable and wifi).

I currently play my games using the xbox app on win 10 laptop, connected via wifi N protocol (internal lan speed rate is near 300mbit) and before someone ask me, yes, I did the same test with cable

The thing is: if i start download something via xbox store (a game, a patch, an update...) speed is about 50/60 mbits (while with a direct connection with ISP router is 98mbit....), in the moment I start the app streaming it drops instantly at no more than
3mbit (2,6 on average). Streaming stopped causes an immediate increase of downloading speeds. Please consider that while downloading AND streaming, if I make a speedtest (both from laptop and from xbox menu) it is alwasy almost perfect, so I'm not filling
my isp connection, and neither I think that streaming fill my whole LAN...

Can you help me please? On router there's no QoS, and this seems happening exclusively for the xbox store, none of other devices are impacted....

Can you try downloading the Beta version of the Xbox App and submitting feedback while this is occurring? Without being able to see what's happening, I imagine it'll be challenging for us to reproduce this.

first thanks for the answer, second for sure i can download and use the beta version. I'll submit feedback this evening, while downloading this month's game with gold without streaming and then activating the streaming. hope you can figure it out 'cause
i spent my last 2 months blaming my ISP for this...

 

Update:

i just tried connecting both xbox and laptop directly to the isp router, using the beta app. same problem, i sent a feedback while NOT streaming (because else I can't access the functionality), but just after a streaming session
