Streaming Xbox to PC not connecting

I'm trying to stream my Xbox to my PC and I'm getting "We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device." when I try to add a device. Both my PC and Xbox are on the same network with
a wired connection. I've restarted my PC and Xbox, signed out and back in on both devices as well disconnected my account from my Xbox and re-added it, and reinstalled/reset the Xbox app for windows 10 PC. Testing Network connection on my Xbox says I'm connected
to the internet.

What other steps can I try to fix this problem?

Xbox One streaming to a PC+Kinect

Hello!

I'm wondering if some of you have tried to use the Kinect adapter connected to a PC streaming.

This means that the Xbox One is streaming to a Windows 10 PC, and the Kinect is connected to the PC instead of the Xbox One.

Is this technically possible?

How Can I Hook My Xbox One Up To My Laptop And Play On My Laptoo

You can stream games from the Xbox One to PC using the Xbox app on your PC. It can be a wired Ethernet connection or a wireless connection. Xbox app connects your PC with your Xbox One.

 

If it fails to find your xbox, it should give you the option to enter your Xbox one's IP address.

I pretty sure it finds my Xbox because it's in the list to add but at the same time it can't find it.

 

on your Xbox one, go to Settings>Preferences > Xbox app connectivity,
and then make sure " Allow connections from any device" is marked.

If this doesnt work, try restarting both your xbox and pc and try connecting again.

 

I've double checked to make sure "Allow connections from any device" is marked it still didn't work. I've also restarted both my Xbox and PC and while my PC needed to do a windows update this restart it still doesn't work.

 

Do you have any antivirus and/or security software installed that provides their own Firewall?

If so, that third party firewall might prevent your console from connecting to your PC.

As a personal advice, if you use third party antivirus and Firewall programs:

Uninstall any third party antivirus and firewall programs.

Windows 10 has an AntiVirus scanner already built in, and the Windows internal Firewall is also more than enough, as the Firewall "only" protects your PC from attacks inside your own network if you use a router to connect to the Internet.

Your Router that you use already is a Firewall that protects your home network from any attacks coming from the Internet.

Unless you put your PC into a
DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), the PC can't be reached from the Internet anyways.

 

ARe both devices and apps fully up to date?

 

I do have an antivirus installed but I didn't have this problem 3 or so weeks ago. To make sure I uninstalled the antivirus program, restarted my PC and tried again but it still didn't work.

 

Yes my Xbox is up to date and I've reinstalled the app and made sure it to is up to date.
