Streaming to Windows 10 PC slows when bandwidth meter is closed.

It's the strangest thing. With the network performance meter overlay open on my Windows 10-64 PC streaming my XBOX One, performance is great. Sound, resolution and controller latency are all phenomenal. If I use the mouse to close that overlay, the performance
immediately begins to suffer sound break-ups, blocky and jerky animation and controller lag. If I open the overlay back up, things smooth right out in 1 or 2 seconds and remain perfectly playable. The brief historical data shows on the overlay shows that either
it wasn't keeping track, or bandwidth throughput plummeted while the overlay was closed.

Anyone have anything like this or thoughts on what's going on?

It does this in the Xbox One menus or in games and apps. Gigabit wired end to end. This is a new phenomena. The controller is paired to the console, rather than the PC (if that matters).

I've tried rebooting all the things, checking for updates on all the things and making sure (using the router SNMP interfaces) the network is not being saturated by another device transferring data.

This is not a momentary condition, where it did this odd thing one time - this is the way it works now all the time.

Streaming my xbox to my PC in windows 10 when the wife is watching TV this feature will be used a lot in my house!

Xbox one game streaming lag

I got "network quality problems" too even with 100Mbit wired connection. When I start streaming only the sound and gamepad inputs are transmitted, but no picture in sight. The bandwidthmeter shows a maximum bandwidth of 0.17Mbits. Tested this with WiFi too
and got the same results.

My Windows 10 PC is an old Lenovo X200s pc with Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz (L9300) and 4GB of RAM.

Dont know what to do ..

The Xbox One streams wirelessly to a pc that has windows 10 and the Xbox app installed on it.

It does not matter that a TV is connected to the Xbox One. The console does need to be powered on to stream.

Are you playing on PC, or streaming your xbox gameplay to the Xbox app on windows 10 PC.

xbox application closes when streaming is enabled

Hey MORP3X,

Are you running the Xbox Application on Windows 10? Just want to confirm.

If the Xbox app crashes when streaming, joining a party or uploading a video on your PC, you can try resetting the Xbox app to default. This will remove all of your settings and cache and hopefully, resolve the issue you're experiencing.

1. Open the Setting app and go to the Apps section on your PC.

2. Select Xbox from the list and click Advanced options.

3. Scroll down to the Reset section and click Reset and again to confirm.

After you do this, your Xbox app will be reset to default and the problem should be resolved. The app is great on Windows 10, but if it keeps closing on you after you give this a try.
