Streaming on series x is blocky and pixelated even on home dashboard. Never had this issue...

My series X is in the basement and is connect via wireless to the internet. I do not use the Xbox one and it isn’t even plugged in. What is confusing me is that before I got the series X I never had this issue. It only happened once I got the series x. That is what’s making this frustrating because it is the newer console but having this issue. Could it possibly be something with the system itself?

my Onkyo receiver it's actually fixed my issue with my series x and lg c1 issue and my Onkyo receiver came out in 2017 and it supports 4k hdr and Dolby vision. All work perfect. The issue is a Xbox issue as my 360 and my ps3 and my series s never had an issue directly to the tv it's only with the series x and it's strange that you blame the tv when all other devices work but the series x.

I have a Series X and a One X and the streaming quality when using remote play on the One X is far superior (as is the PS5 streaming quality). The One X also records better video captures for up to 5 minutes and the Series X barely manages 1 minute.

Microsoft hasn’t attempted to fix this yet as evidenced by the fact the new streaming app doesn’t even have the option to prioritise either higher quality or lower bandwidth streams like the older one did.

My first guess would be that they use a low bandwidth, highly compressed and low resolution stream by default no matter how good your connection is to minimise latency and work in a wider range of home networks as you used to need a very good network to avoid any glitching. They seem to have struck a better balance with XCloud itself which delivers a higher quality stream and ostensibly it uses the same hardware as the home consoles. XCloud isn’t a real replacement though, you can’t play all that many games on it

But the fact it’s been more than a year without change and Microsoft never gives a real answer on this issue leads me to believe the hardware itself may have some limitation and can’t capture and compress effectively without tanking fps.

3. Check that your Xbox Series X is within range of your Google Pixel 6 hotspot.



4. Try forgetting the network on your Xbox Series X and then reconnecting to it.



5. Check that your Google Pixel 6 hotspot is set to allow other devices to connect to it.



6. Try changing the security settings on your Google Pixel 6 hotspot to WPA or WEP and see if that helps.



7. If none of the above steps work, try contacting Xbox support for further assistance.
