Streaming movies on Xbox live

I rented The interview last night and attempted to watch it when I received the 0x800c0005 code which says I'm not connected to the internet. I'm obviously connected and firewalls and proxy servers have never been an issue. Is this an xbox problem? I've
contacted customer support and all they did was have me power cycle the xbox.

Plex Now Free Xbox One & PS4

Finally got around to trying out Plex on the Xbox One. Impressed so far. Great little app to have to stream movies from my Mac to the Xbox One in the living room.

 

Casting Video From PC to XBOX One - Using Data

A lot of the Xbox's Services require you to be logged in to Xbox Live without using Internet. I believe the local video streaming runs through the same app where you can rent and purchase movies. So it makes sense that an app providing that service would require you to be online.

If you're able to track, then just stream a movie and see if your usage goes up. That will tell you for sure if it's using it or not.

 

Same thing is happening to me. Charged me for renting it but can't watch.

 

Is this issue still happening? There were some problems with Xbox Live last night that could have caused this, but they should have cleared up by now.

I'm having the same issue, but I bought three movies. It took five tries to get Lone Survivor to play and then I paused it for a few minutes and the same error code. 0xc00d1126 (0x800c0005)

 

Okay, after yesterday's Xbox Live issues can you try power cycling the console (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) but ALSO turn your router off for a minute and
then back on?

With some luck this clears out the lingering problems from yesterday.

Finally worked for mr just had to keep trying.....just don't back out of the movie or you'll have the same problem again

 

Maybe it's time to add XBOX video to the limited service list because it is not working for anyone.

 

I rented a movie today and I received this code 0xc00d1126 (0x800c0005). I tested my network settings and everything checked out fine. My network shows all service available and nat type open. Multiplayer tested fine also 0 packet loss. I cycle power on
the xbox and router which did not help. Can someone please tell me what's going on. Thanks.
