    Streaming Game to PC while watching TV at the same time


    I pass my cable box through my xbox to watch tv. I've noticed that if I want to stream a game to my PC that is in another room, I can't have the live tv app running and play the game on my PC at the same time. Is there a way to do this that I haven't figured
    out? I figured that with the "snap" feature on xbox one that this console would have the ability to do that, not to mention most smartphones can run 2 apps at once.

    My workaround would be to install an HDMI switch that runs the cable box directly to the tv, however, that deletes the purpose of the xbox one mission statement to be the one and only box for your entertainment needs.

    HDR while streaming

    Hi. It is possible to stream to PC with hdr? I have problem with this while i streaming to my pc, hdr in game on my tv turn off. It's needed for me because i stream with obs to twitch on pc, and the same time i want hdr view on my tv.

    Wasn't sure where to put this...

    But I think I remember Phil Spencer stating that when the streaming feature comes out, we'll be able to stream games to PC while watching TV. For instance, one person can be at the Xbox watching TV, while the other person can be using a PC to stream and
    play games from the same Xbox. Does that feature exists? Or did I mishear or something? I've been trying to do it but I cant get it to work.

    I change the source channel on tv to built in freeview on tv..so the tv signal is coming from outside antenna instead of cable

    Unfortunately this feature isn't supported. You will need to connect your cable to your TV if you wish to stream your games and allow others to watch TV at the same time.

    In what way do you mean?

    Watch a stream while playing a game or stream the PC game you are playing?

    If it's stream the game you are playing, no it's not possible. You can only use the Twitch app on the Xbox to stream Xbox console games.

    To watch a stream on the console, it's easy, just launch the app, then log in, and find a stream you want to watch, then start a game on your PC.

    Totally agree the stream to your pc is completely useless for me. I had maybe hoped I could play a xbox game on my pc while my xbox runs the tv on the actual tv screen. The only way this streaming feature would work for me is to stream games/movies from
