    Stream from NAS to XBOX ONE X?


    I used KODI on an Nvidia Shield to stream movies that I had stored on my Seagate Black Armour NAS, which worked fine.

    I've since replaced the Shield with an XBOX ONE X and installed KODI just like I did on the shield. The trouble is on the XBOX, KODI sees the NAS ip address but won't let me add it as a video source.

    So the question is how do I access and play videos files on a NAS using my XBOX ONE X?

    The Xbox One doesn't have a build-in System Video Player for browsing the content on a Nas drive. However, you can use the PlayTo functionality on a Windows 8 computer to play the music and video file from NAS to Xbox One. I followed the how

    I wish they'd just include DLNA streaming on Xbox one - then you could stream from iTunes, a NAS media server, or whatever.

    @whitey...if you have a smart phone you can download a program called "bubbleupnp" and that will allow you to stream the movies over to your xbox one from your NAS.
