    Strange issue with Series X and WiFi


    Hi folks,

    I have an issue here with my launchday Series X and my router (Fritz.Box 7430), if I connect through wifi. So it works fine with an Ethernet cable but not with wifi, while the Xbox and the router show that they are connected. It's strange but, if I connect through wifi on my iPhone (hotspot) or Surface Laptop (Win10 Networksharing) everything works fine, so the wi-fi on the Xbox itself must be working. All other devices working fine on wifi too.

    I figured out, that if I turn off your wireless security completly, the wifi works, so that I think the series x has problems authenticating WPA/WPA 2.

    And I am not alone when you head over to the Microsoft Communityboards.

    So I did different tests with my Series X and different router configs/OS:

    1st Setting: Xbox OS: 10.0.19041.5082 (rs_xbox_release_2010.201102-1500) Fritzbox 7430 with FritzOS: 7.21 WPA2 only and WPA2/WPA3

    2nd Setting: Xbox OS: Same as above. FritzBox 7430 with FritzOS: 7.16 WPA2 only

    3rd Setting: Xbox OS Insider: Omega (2011.201110-0000) RS_XBOX_RELEASE_2011\19041.5454.201110-0000 Fritzbox 7430 with FritzOS 7.21 WPA2 only and WPA2/WPA3

    4th Setting Xbox OS Insider: Omega (2011.201113-1945) RS_XBOX_RELEASE_2011\19041.5475.201113-1945 Fritzbox 7430 with FritzOS 7.21 WPA2 only and WPA2/WPA3

    All three failed, while all other devices include my Xbox One X works fine.

    Maybe here can somebody help me and us.

    My xbox series s download speed low and I can't play my 2k without getting kicc out the game because on lagging

    Have the issue on my series x under WiFi , all my other devices are fine but when I use the series x under 2.4gh it’s really bad lag and 5gh is better but still laggy, only solution that I found right now is to use Ethernet and completely disconnect WiFi. Hope this helps!

    This problem is absolutely just an xbox series x problem. I have 2 other xbox consoles hooked to xfinity wifi. I have a one and one x hooked to it with no issues but fpr whatever reason the series x will not load the login page.

    I've never had an issue with

    my Onkyo receiver it's actually fixed my issue with my series x and lg c1 issue and my Onkyo receiver came out in 2017 and it supports 4k hdr and Dolby vision. All work perfect. The issue is a Xbox issue as my 360 and my ps3 and my series s never had an issue directly to the tv it's only with the series x and it's strange that you blame the tv when all other devices work but the series x.

    That's strange, I Have Xbox 360, Xbox one Fat, Xbox one X and Xbox series X, just my One X had issues, but I replaced trough the out of warranty service and all of them are currently working

    No problem and thank you for the additional information. You're correct, especially if this is happening with multiple controllers.

    How about other external accessories, do you have any? If yes, kindly unplug all of them and perform a powercycle on your console.
