Strange censorship in 2 different games !?

I'd bet this is currently ramped up to protect the current high demand on moderation caused by the Pandemic and people staying at home.

If you ramp up the filtering you don't need to deal with people being upset at things being said. I'd live with it for now and see if it changes once the world settles back down.

For reference this is something I would have implemented to reduce demand on support and moderators in dealing with toxicity.

To prevent spam and alternate methods of bypassing the games censorship.

Here is an example:

If dominating the other team in Rocket League but they are still fighting, I wrote: "1 4 honor" (means: let them score a goal for brave playing)

One month ago I could write that without a problem.

Same in german. If I write "Ehre" (honor in german) in the guild announcement in Gems of War, it is censored.

To me it seems that the developers of both games have been given the same (wrong) list of "bad" words !

... or is there anything bad or wrong with "honor" - if so why can I write it here or in the chat of GoW ?!

And that is only 1 example - in the RL chat you can see *********** very often at the moment !

I don't have an answer exactly but I will say I've seen it happen too. Whole conversations I've typed into Gears Pop have been censored for seemingly no reason. Who knows though. Back on Madden 2003 on ps2 it would censor Oakland Raiders because it
has the racist spelling of clan wedged into the middle of it lol
